My First Visit

We want you to come and connect!

Whether you are curiously or seriously seeking a church home, you are very much welcome at Young Nak Church. The steps below help you know what to expect on Sundays, but there are also plenty of weekday opportunities if you want to visit one of them too.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to come as you are.  Some will be traveling and wearing very casual clothes.  Some will wear more formal clothes.  However, we are more interested in you being comfortable without feeling like you need to meet a dress code.  There are people from approximately thirty different countries.  So we want you to be yourself.

Directions to Young Nak:

Young Nak Church is in downtown Seoul.

There are eight buildings on our church campus.  The buildings have signs in Korean so you might want to see a picture of the building that you want to find.  It isn’t impossible to find things your first time, but your second visit will be much, much easier.  Please leave yourself an extra ten minutes to find your destination the first time you come on campus.

Sunday Ministries:

10 AM Worship: This is a traditional style of worship including a forty member choir, congregational hymns, and responsive readings in order to worship together as a community.  (approximately one hour)

3 PM Worship: This is a contemporary style of worship including a praise band, praise songs and occasional testimonies.  The same sermon is preached in both worships. (approximately 75 minutes)

Fellowship Time: There is a time of fellowship after each worship.  Please plan on staying a little longer after the worship so you can meet some of the finest people you’ve ever met before.

8:30 AM Bible Study: Pastor Bill Majors is from Oklahoma.  He came to Korea and found his wife, Niki (Yu Ja Kyung).  This is an English Bible Class for Koreans who want to use English as a communication tool to help them study and grow in their faith.

11:30 AM Bible Study: John Duffy came to Korea 4 years ago with his wife Roz.  Both John and Roz are leaders in Bible Study Fellowship.  This class is for people from abroad who join together to learn and discuss their journey of faith.

Growth Groups: Growth groups meet on various days and in various settings throughout the week.  Growth groups are opportunities to develop deeper relationships with both God and friends through Bible study and fellowship.  Before attending a growth group please review the church calendar to confirm the group meeting because of the autonomous nature and scheduling flexibility of each group.
